This has to be one of the most beautiful settings imaginable - the location is exceptional and the view is spectacular! We truly did not want to leave.
Delicious breakfast, really nice room with a breathtaking view, beautiful common areas inside and out, convenience of the funicular access to the city and the great staff (especially Patricia at reception and Filipe, who, as busy as he was, took the time to answer questions and make suggestions - Thank you!)
The Hotel itself is a classic beauty and a very special place. We really hope to return!

Massages are really good, high quality professionals. Asked for a couple massage (both at the same time) which was not an option but they made it possible.
Restaurant is very good price value.
Sauna space was wonderfull. Bedrooms and the whole hotel feels very new and clean.

This hotel is located very close to the beach. It exceeded my expectations for a 2 star hotel. My room had been renovated. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. I ate my evening meal there and it was delicious. Breakfast was a big spread with lots of choices.
Set in the historic center of Viana do Castelo, Jardim is set in a listed building providing picturesque views.

Very nice, quiet hotel. Very supportive personnel.
I loved everything about Viana do Castelo. It was New Year's Eve and the atmosphere was incredible. Definitely one of the best nights of my life! The people, the decorations, the lights and although a lot of fun was being had, it just felt so safe and welcoming!
The next morning the streets were spotless, everyone wishing you a Happy New Year and it was all in all just perfect. I'll definitely be coming back. In fact I'd love to live there!

Lovely town to stroll around with lots of interesting buildings/architecture, nice boutiques and specialist shops and a good mix of places to eat. If we had stayed longer it would have been worth having a car but for 4 nights it was fine without. (Hotel has a car park)

Viana do Castelo is a great place to just relax if you want to get away from the tourist scene in the big cities. It's easy to go on day trips and outdoor activities from there. The food was amazing, the people polite and friendly. We hope to go back.

The family has done a beautiful job creating tasteful art decor that celebrates the soul of this city. The Museo do Traje at the end of the block is worth a visit, too. I have a greater appreciation of my Traje do Vianesa room after a visit to the Museo!

Viana do Castelo is small but with a pleasant vibe.
Viana do Castelo is small but with a pleasant vibe. It is a pleasure to sit at the outdoor cafes sipping coffee and eating pastries. The local Christines coffee is delicious. This is a very relaxing place with fee parking at the marina. We also enjoyed shopping at the mall at the train station and eating at their food court.

My stay at Casa Manuel Espregueira e Oliveira was lovely. The location was great for the spring festivities held in Viana do Castelo for Pascoa (Easter) and the gardens at the casa are tranquil and a quiet place to escape. Breakfast was a treat with traditional foods served for the holiday. The owner provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and was very accommodating when I needed help with taxi service and laundry. I felt well taken care of!
The room is a lot more spacious than I thought from the pictures, with a table that you can move outside to have your breakfast outside - which is absolutely amazing. We loved the breakfast selection offered, and were always so full in the mornings we could barely walk!
The pool was super peaceful and we loved how easily we could get to Viana do Castelo, since the main access to the city centre is very close - 5 minutes by car to get to the centre.
Even in the middle of another wave of Covid in Portugal I felt very safe here. All guests were strictly tested and only let in with a negative result. The ladies in the kitchen disinfected tables and chairs after anyone who had breakfast and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The staff were also nice and helpful. Although the furniture/design could be renovated, I would definitely stay here again when in Viana.
The balcony itself was already worth the price! Great to have your breakfast there, overlooking the roofs of Viana's Old Town. It was extremely quiet despite its location right in the centre of Viana do Castelo. We had one question as to how to operate the electric hubs - and the host responded immediately to provided the answer. It could not have gone any better.
A lovely, nicely decorated beach apartment. Two nice bedrooms and a nice living area. The owner was very helpful and left us a lovely gift of wine and cake when we checked in. The apartment is 5 mins walk from the beach and 10 mins drive from Viana do Castelo. There are some nice beach cafes nearby.
Centrally located place in the old town of Viana do Castelo with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops around. The room was nicely designed with a view over the bridge and water. The A/C was useful to sleep in cool surroundings. A good option if you are walking the Camino.
A small traditional hotel in a great location in Viana do Castelo. An easy walk to the train station.
The rooms are a good size.
Breakfast was excellent.
Staff were friendly.
The concierge is helpful if you need information.
On the camino route.
New hotel in Viana do Castelo, full of good taste and super comfortable.
I wasn't expecting so much comfort and exquisite decoration.
Loved bathroom.
Breakfast was variable and really good. Plus, they offer every woman a flower
Immaculately presented and well equipped, recently renovated townhouse, 4km from Viana do Castelo in fishing village of Duque. Parking on the street net to the property. The host brought us delicious fresh bread in the morning.
The staff were exceptional!! We have been on an extended road trip throughout Portugal and have been staying in many hotels and the front desk staff were exceptional, best we've experienced. They were great!
I hope I will have possibilities to stay here again. I love this old-fashioned residence in amazing Viana do Castelo! Excellent equipment inside&outside. Swimming pool also was a good option for pilgrims :)
This is a wonderful little hotel in Viana do Costelo. The owner is very friendly and helpful with suggestions for your visit, the location is excellent and the rooms are comfy and quiet.
The view was amazing. The room was very classic and french style.
Had dinner downstair in the restaurant and it was nice.
I had the most amazing last night in Portugal.
The hotel is beautiful! The rooms were gorgeous! The hotel lobby is bright and spacious as well as inviting. We ate dinner at the hotel and our meal was delicious!
Modern hotel with exceptional value in the centre town after crossing the long bridge. Very helpful reception and stored our Camiño bicycles in a locked room.
Albergue is quite new and well equipped, but the best thing is its location-on the top of the mountain above the city of Viana do Castelo, just amazing.
