I loved everything about Viana do Castelo. It was New Year's Eve and the atmosphere was incredible. Definitely one of the best nights of my life! The people, the decorations, the lights and although a lot of fun was being had, it just felt so safe and welcoming!
The next morning the streets were spotless, everyone wishing you a Happy New Year and it was all in all just perfect. I'll definitely be coming back. In fact I'd love to live there!

Lovely town to stroll around with lots of interesting buildings/architecture, nice boutiques and specialist shops and a good mix of places to eat. If we had stayed longer it would have been worth having a car but for 4 nights it was fine without. (Hotel has a car park)

Viana do Castelo is a great place to just relax if you want to get away from the tourist scene in the big cities. It's easy to go on day trips and outdoor activities from there. The food was amazing, the people polite and friendly. We hope to go back.

The family has done a beautiful job creating tasteful art decor that celebrates the soul of this city. The Museo do Traje at the end of the block is worth a visit, too. I have a greater appreciation of my Traje do Vianesa room after a visit to the Museo!

Viana do Castelo is small but with a pleasant vibe.
Viana do Castelo is small but with a pleasant vibe. It is a pleasure to sit at the outdoor cafes sipping coffee and eating pastries. The local Christines coffee is delicious. This is a very relaxing place with fee parking at the marina. We also enjoyed shopping at the mall at the train station and eating at their food court.

Peaceful setting all around, inserted in pine tree Nature. Clean, tidy, beautiful walkable accesses to the beachfront, ocean water of remarkable quality. Sense of safety. Serviceable, clean bungalow with hot water, raised from the ground level, and with decent room to other bungalows. Dedicated parking space relatively close inside the park. Excellent, attentive, responsive staff all around. Close enough to Viana do Castelo and various other commercial and tourist spots.
First of all the location 10 minutes away from Praia do Cabedelo and from Viana, second is a little paradise where you can rrlax and enjoy the north portugal atmosphere. Rooms where super clean and kitchen was well equipped and very comfortable. Common arras were incredibly beautifoul confortable and plenty of room was available. And above all i would like to thank Cecilia ( the owner) to make our stay specual makung fell us at home.
Perfect place to spend a couple nights! All staff was incredibly helpful and really eager to make our stay as much comfortable as possible Location is also very nice, 5 minutes walking to the train station and city centre. As a person who was born and grew up in Viana do Castelo, the whole place made me feel at home. I definitely recommend and next time I'm visiting my hometown, I know where I want to stay.
Amazing location right on the sea front with stunning views. Rooms were large, spacious and very clean with a love balcony overlooking the sea and super bathroom. Would recommend staying here and would book again if visiting Viana do Castelo. Right on the Camino coastal route. If I have any comment it would be the restaurant - my vegetables (spinach) weren’t the best but that is personal choice.
'The staff at the hotel are very friendly and responsive in addressing your questions and provided directions. The hotel is very well maintained. This hotel will be first option if/when I return to Viana do Castelo. The complimentary was well presented and a nice assortment of options. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
This is THE Place to stay in Viana do Castelo!!!! Absolutely unique, wonderful, tastefully furnished Hotel, decorated with wonderful and very special pieces of Art. Sofia and Rami are brilliant hosts, super nice and super friendly and let you feel like coming home!!! All in all you can't do it better !
This beautiful property is located just above Viana do Castelo and you feel as though you are miles away from any town. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the staff so helpful. The cottages are well equipped, clean and quiet. You can easily access all the sights and town from this location.
Andrea and the rest of the staff were wonderful. We stayed in Viana Do Castelo during our honeymoon in Portugal, and they made the extra effort to make our stay the best it could have been. Maçã De Eva is blocks away from the beautiful historic areas of the city. Gorgeous.
We loved our stay, but thought there would be more of the original chocolate factory within the hotel. Breakfast which was included in room price, was excellent. Staff were very helpful recommending an excellent restaurant nearby which actually served vegetarian food!
This is my second stay at Hotel do Parque and I think it is a great place to stay when in Viana do Castelo. The facilities are clean, the breakfast buffet and breakfast room with river view are great, and the staff is very helpful and kind.
The AP Dona Aninhas was like an oasis on our visit to Portugal! We loved every minute of our stay there from the beautiful large bathroom and claw foot tub to the restaurant with amazing included breakfast, to the pool and spa! Glorious!
Everything! A luxurious hotel in a 500 year old building in the center of town. Just perfect for my rest and treat day, walking the Camino. And be sure to take advantage of the excellent food and attraction recommendations.
clean, comfortable and front desk staff were exceptional. the hotel was willing to serve breakfast at any time to accommodate Pilgrims. right downtown, with numerous restaurants around. highly recommended
The space is very nice, and the location can't be beat. I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast - great way for two pilgrims to start their day of trekking through Portugal!
The location is the best one in Viana do Castelo. The staff couldn't be nicer. Great bed, pillows and sheets. It's an old building but you can tell they renovate frequently.
