Nice central location near the Baixa/Chiado Metro, the Number 28 trolley (take it going downhill, not up!), and in the same building as the oldest bookstore in the world! Easy communication and check-in process; João was there to greet us as planned. The apartment is well furnished and the beds were comfortable. Lovely views of Rua Garrett (3rd floor) and only a little bit noisy at night. Note: there is an elevator though you must climb one flight of stairs to reach it, which could be problematic if you have heavy luggage. Close to shopping, restaurants and quite a few pasteis de nata shops around! Nice cafe (Brasileira) that serves delicious lattes and Portuguese version of French toast.

In a historical & renovated building from the 20th century, this charming two-bedroom apartment (equipped with heating, A/C and double glazed windows) is located in one of Lisbon’s much prized areas, on the corner of Rua Garrett, just next to ''Largo Camões''. The city's best historical sites (the world's oldest bookstore is at the apartment's building!), viewpoints and stores are within walking distance, and public transportation is easily accessible (Baixa-Chiado Metro Station is 190m away). *Construction work is going on in the surroundings of the building with no timetable for completion. *During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.

Baixa-Chiado is one of Lisbon's most sophisticated and privileged neighborhoods - perfectly located between the monumental area of Baixa and the bohemian nightlife of Bairro Alto. It is the most central area you could get and it's surrounded by everything you will need. Boutiques, shops, historical monuments, museums, restaurants, cafés and public transportations are just a few steps away. You are within a walking distance from all the main places to visit and from all the typical neighborhoods like Principe Real, Rossio, Castelo and Alfama. You will find breathtaking viewpoints, Fado Houses and fancy bars and restaurants along the way!
