Braga is really beautiful, the old town is breathing some kind of old wisdom, i have difficulties to put my feelings about it in words, in the parts where i was mostly hanging out i had the idea to be part of an old movie. I was here winter 2023 and it was raining a lot and i think it was part of the peace of mind it gave me. the silence in the streets. Just outside Braga you can find Bom Jesus do Monto and that is really impressive as well, like really really. I didn't went much to restaurants or bars but you can find them plenty.

Very nice town for a two day stay.
Very nice town for a two day stay. I happened to be there on the 1ST of December and joined in the festivities of the Christmas celebration which seemed to involve the whole town.
Braga is very old and historic and it has a lot of charm for its size and I enjoyed finding what felt like secret corners of the town to enjoy.

Braga was full of fascinating history- beautiful buildings, very friendly people. It is convenient for Porto airport, lots of choice for places to eat. I would like to have seen the Roman ruins (which we didn't find..)and museums - not enough time. We took the bus to Guimaraes and enjoyed exploring there too!

Lovely vibe to the city both in the day and the evening.
Lovely vibe to the city both in the day and the evening. Good public transport links that met our needs. Plenty of supermarkets and places to eat. We particularly liked the vegan/vegetarian restaurant 'Hibiscus', who did an amazing 'all you can eat buffet' for €16. I enjoyed the city and mountain views from the top of Pinheiro. The butterflies up there were spectacular (September).

Loved Braga.
Loved Braga.
The centre of the city is full of historical buildings and churches. It is all in a large but concentrated space, very accessible even to wheelchairs and people with special needs. The centre, bring car free and mostly level, is very easy to navigate. You can do a lot of sightseeing without having to drive, and there are a lot of bakeries and coffee shops where to pause for a refreshing stop.
If you are into church hoping, this is heaven for you. Two thousand years of history give Braga an enormous legacy.
You have to drive a short distance , but it is well worth seeing Bom Jesus de Braga and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro. Just the view is worth your journey.
A very comfortable hotel rennovated from a beautiful old house at just perfect location in Braga old town. Walking distance to all sightseeing spots. The room is very nice and clean. Staff are super helpful and warm. Good breakfast with many choices. We highly appreciate their kindness to our dogs, even dog food and water bowls are provided! We left dogs water bottle in the room. They sent us an email informing this negligence. For sure when we revisit Braga we will stay here again and recommend to our friends.
We stayed at Urban Hotel Estacao as we were attending the Dance World Cup in Braga, it was in good location near to Braga old town & well placed for us to get to the Altice Forum. All the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. We had a nice countryside view at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. We loved our trip to Braga and the hotel was a great choice.
The location is stunning in the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, high up above Braga. Unfortunately we couldn't see the views due to the torrential rain! The location is very quiet and the church and grounds are beautiful.
There was no restaurant for an evening meal in the hotel but was provided by the sister hotel just a few metres away. The staff here were exceptionally courteous and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.
Everything! Great communication by Valeria, fantastic location just a stone away from everything, Cathedral view, very clean rooms, lift and nice breakfast. Originally, didn’t request breakfast because it seems expensive for Portugal, but we tried in one morning owing to great reviews here and it was worth it! Will go back if we manage to visit Braga again!
The most beautiful room I had stayed at in Portugal, with a charming balcony that opens up to a view of exquisite house facades. I forgo quite a bit of sightseeing just to lay in bed on that perfect spot and looking out the balcony. The hostess is most kind. The room is super clean and comfortable. The location could not be better. Highly recommended.
The best hotel I have ever been to! The best breakfasts, decor, modern, nice smell, fresh water to drink every day in every room! Wonderful staff- Renato is the best one- very helpful! I liked the hotel very much, 4 nights was not enough with the place, people and food. If you look for the best hotel in Braga you should try Moon and Sun hotel!
This is an extraordinary conversion of a very old convent into a gorgeously appointed, elegant hotel which design acknowledges the history and Portuguese culture in a modern way that does not assert architectural ego over the magnificence of the old structure. Its location is perfectly central to walk to all the sights of lovely Braga.
The hotel is very clean and the decoration is charming. It has an exceptional location. In the heart of the historic city center of Braga. The host (Jacqueline) is very helpful and gave us all information needed in advance. She was lovely and available when we need. The shared kitchen and dining room were perfect for us.
I was amazed by the owners' willingness to assist the visitor, as also to solve any issue that might arise.
Excellent experience! Especially the new breakfast room is fantastic!
My preferred hotel for my following visits to Braga.
Highly recommended for a short stay in the city.
The apartment is as it’s illustrated on the website. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Braga. The entrance is a bit scary at first site. But trust me it’s very safe, even at night. This will be my Togo place when I visit Portugal.
High class, wonderful host, elevator directly to the room, personalized and attentive breakfast, very clean and comfortable including the bed (which tend to be very firm in Portugal)
Nice simple room in Braga.
Walking distance to the city center and was good value for money for our night stop.
Pets are welcome for an extra cost, and overall nice place.
We really appreciated this boutique hotel in the center of Braga. Breakfast is various and excellent, the room was clean and spacious. Highly recommended!
11 out of 10, absolutely great. Best place we stayed in Portugal out of 12.
Fabulous staff, great breakfast, great location, clean in all a dream place.
