Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
Very nice new clean villas, walking distance (very hilly though) to the centre and beach of Carvoeiro. Friendly and helpfull staff, good breakfast provided to have in your villa. Very calm and nice pool area with grass and enough sun beds, perfect size pool and temperature of the water is nice and not cold as we experienced in other hotel nearby. So kids would play in water all day long :) coffee, drinks and snacks such as fries or sandwiches can be enjoed at the pool. Parking is free at the villa itself, which also has a small garden behind.
Everything. While it's about 10 mins from Carvoeiro, I would much prefer staying here. The setting is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service from the front desk and the restaurant was excellent. They can't seem to do enough to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We had a room in the hotel, but I imagine the Villas are wonderful too. Such a special place to stay. So much nicer than being right in a town. It is an exceptional value.
The pools are great: the indoor one is warm and the outdoor is cold. The rooms are really clean, spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Shower is good and the bed is really comfortable. It’s good that we always had a parking space near the apartment. Staff was always super friendly and prompt to help. One thing I lived is that there’s a WhatsApp option to talk to the front desk, this resolved things way quicker and assisted a lot to get online material about the hotel hours, restaurant menu and map.
We had a wonderful time at Hello Villas. The location is perfect for the biggest attractions of the Algarve. The most beautiful cliff coasts and the nicest beaches are on walking distance (approximately 15 minutes). Visiting Benagil and Marinha beach were among the highlights of our little stay. The daily cleaning gave us the hotel experience, without losing the feeling of having enough privacy. The heat was no challenge thanks to air-conditioning, sunshades and the swimming pool.
This was my fourth time staying at the resort. The last visit was in 2018, and regrettably , Monte Santo is not what it was. The resort is shabby and neglected, the room cleaning, changing of bed linen and towels is rare, and the staff are unhelpful and some are quite rude. The pool area is dirty, the Sun loungers and the parasols are broken and dirty.
Really disappointed, and will not be returning again. The hotel has a 5 star rating, which most certainly is no longer deserved.
Staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Breakfast was a buffet and had an excellent selection of items.
We especially liked having a balcony overlooking the town, restaurants and beach . So comfortable to sit outside and
watch the world go by. Parking at the hotel was very convenient and so happy that they had parking spaces available while we were there. Just a minute walk to the beach. Great location overall for visiting the Algarve.
Spacious one bedroom, separate kitchen, outstanding location less than one minute to centre of town and beach. Modern decor, clean and everything we needed for a 3 day beach break after 4 weeks on the road.
Fabulous town, lots of character, plenty of restaurants and bars, Carvoeiro tours for cave tours by boat straight from the lovely beach, boardwalk along cliff tops. Plenty to enjoy out and about and a lovely apartment to return to at end of the day.
Location was the best part about this place, steps from the beach and right in the town centre with nearby boardwalk, sights and the most beautiful sunsets right from the terrace. The place itself is a bit dated but had everything we needed for our stay and is very spacious. Host were very accommodating, we even extended our stay because we didn't want to leave. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our family vacation in the algarve!
It was not only the best stay of our Portugal road trip, it was even one of the best stays of our entire traveling history. It's really rare to have the luck of finding a place like this, looking authentic, having amazing and passionate hosts, in an even more beautiful landscape. For us, this was an incredibly nice stay, absolutely worth the money. And after all, we only regret that we didn't stay for longer. We will most likely come back!
Isabell was fantastic, we got in late and needed help booking an activity. She dropped what she was doing and made us a priority. Everyday she made us feel welcome and important. Best host we had in Portugal. We had a private terrace off our room to enjoy morning coffee and plan our day. Also a wonderful place to dry beach towels and just relax. The pool was very very clean and very refreshing after a swim in the ocean.
The room was spacious and airy. the air conditioning was not too loud. There was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tea/coffee was provided and water was left in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. My room had a balcony which led out to the pool but was still private. The hotel is situated within 2 minutes walk off the main centre but far enough away to avoid night time noise. The TV was a lovely addition.
Smaller hotel tucked away in a residential area. Large room with kitchenette and terrace. Nice outdoor pool with lounge area. The hotel is at the top of the hill, so you would need to drive to the beach, restaurants, shops and cafes. Good location for visiting wineries, hiking trails and smaller towns along the Algarve; all a few minutes drive away from Carvoeiro.
The views of the cliffs and ocean from the hotel and room take your breath away. Breakfast buffet, food variety and made to order eggs were the best of our 4-week trip through Portugal and Italy. Bed and linens felt high quality. Excellent hotel amenities. Located near the center of Carvoeiro, near restaurants and hiking trails in both directions from the hotel.
The service, the cleanliness, the location it was just absolutely amazing and I’m very glad we stayed here!
It is very well located to the centre & the owner was so kind and helpful! Thank you to the team for really going the extra mile and making this an amazing experience!
THE HOST PATRICIA made everything easy. The FOOD for breakfast WAS SO GREAT ... THE POOL WAS SO CLEAN AND perfect and IT IS AN EASY ENJOYABLE walk to town, to the beach and to the boardwalk! BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE for accommodation in PORTUGAL YOU MUST STAY HERE!!
The view from our room and balcony is absolutely spectacular, the room is cozy, clean, bright with all necessary amenities while the staff provide excellent services at such an affordable price.
Great location with fabulous restaurants and bars close by .
Great coastal walks and lovely beach cove in the centre of Carvoeiro.
Nice pool and bar , great breakfast selection
