Vila Fortaleza - which is located directly on Arrifana Beach / Aljezur - offers a variety accommodation. The main house offers rooms with and without a balcony or terrace, two of which have a spectacular view over the ocean. All rooms have privat ensuite bathrooms fully equiped with shower, hairdryer and all the essentials. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen Tv and air conditioning.
The main house also offers a shared lounge, with a spacious living room, a cozy dining area including a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen for general use. The entire lounge, flooded with light, has a beautiful view over the sea, and a small adjoining terrace with an additional outdoor dining area. The Arritana Beach is located just 200 meters from the accommodation.

The family Felicidade, is since many generations firmly rooted in this beautiful area. The house in which the guesthouse is located today, was originally built as one of the first bigger houses in Praia da Arrifana when it was still a quiet, unknown fisher village. 
For many years this was oure family’s home, living closely with and from the ocean, with its ruff and calm seas. Deeply connected to the nature, the environment and the sea which makes this area so unique.

A few years ago, this house found its current purpose as a guest house, in the wish to share our family’s love with this area and the ocean with other people. Today the guesthouse is run by my son Fernando Felicidade, a passionated surfer and owner of the local Surfshop in Aljezur, (SW Surfshop) together with his partner Lucia.

Vila Fortaleza is located directly on Praia da Arrifana, near Aljezur, a small fishing village on the sw-coast of the Algarve in the middle of the nature reserve Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina.
The beach of Arrifana, which is walking distance just 5min. away of the property, is a small protected beach which offers excellent conditions for surfing. 
The area, with other beaches like Monte Clerigo or Amoreira close by, is famous for its untouched nature, the wonderful views, and spectacular sunsets over the Atlantic. It offers excellent conditions for any kind of outdoor activity like hiking, horseback riding, motocross and off-road trails, fishing, surfing or just enjoying the sun on the beach all year long.
In walking distance you can find a variety of small restaurants and cafes, which offer typical portuguese beach vibes and exquisite food. 

The closest supermarket is located about 3 min. away by car and the next bigger village Aljezur is about 10 min. away by car. In Aljezur you can find a Bus connection to Lagos or Lisbon. The airport is in Faro and around 1h drive away, the other airport is near Lisbon.
