The only positive thing about this property was the waiter for dinner. He was very pleasant and worked hard to make sure that you were attended to.

It’s a comfortable room with garden and outdoor patio, perfect for two people staying a night or two. The host was very nice and it’s walking distance to several shops, grocery stores and restaurants, as well as the river and bridge.

Vila do Condo upon first sight looks nice. It’s on the river and the square with the flowers is really nice. Once you go out of the square and into the town you see that it is very run down and unkept. The local youths didn’t take kindly to our accompanying teenage football team and on one evening chased a group of them out of town threatening violence towards them. This is one location I will not return to

Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast.
Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast. Easy to get to from Porto on the Metro. We also had a day out to Povoa de Varzim on the metro which is just a couple of stops away.
Vila do Conde has a few interesting museums relating to its history and development. Lots of opportunities to walk, a number of beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars, a great place for a short break in the sunshine.

The places we liked most in Vila do Conde were: a) the top of the hill with an old monastery and the 16th century aqueduct (2nd longest in Portugal), with a great view of the historic center; b) a truly wonderful restaurant -- REPUBLICA -- at 83 Praca da Republica, both food and service were great, and the interior is very pleasant; and c) within a 3-minute walk from the restaurant the Naval Construction Museum and a replica of a ship outside from the Age of Discoveries.

This is more of a guest house .
This is more of a guest house . It is above a bistro, There was no breakfast and when bistro was closed no one to provide assistance. The location is excellent across the street from the river with access to walk to shore. Staff was friendly and helpful when available. We chose it as it is on the coast north of Porto and close to the airport. Room and bed were small, but comfortable. We stayed only one night so it met our needs. Interesting town to explore.

Great little town, seems to have a lot to offer if you like quiet little towns. Not too built up, nice small town feel to it. We didn't have time to explore much - yet - but will definitely come back
Loved this hotel; would happily have stayed more than one night. Clean, spacious room with a good-sized modern bathroom, and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a long time. The hotel was a very quiet and relaxing place to be. The rooftop bar has great views over Vila do Conde, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is very conveniently located for anyone doing the camino.
We were greeted by a very friendly host, Helena, who was also in charge of preparing the breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, enough electrical outlets (the most of all rooms on our trip), a bit old fashioned bedding, hard mattress as common in Portugal. We liked the breakfast room, and good selection of food. The hotel is situated conveniently to OPO airport, still quiet and has a touch of country athmosphere
Amazing facilities, with high quality bathroom and bed. We had our own balcony with a view of the old aqueduct. The owner/manager was helpful and friendly. We got an insight into modern Portuguese life when speaking with him. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, with superb wine, and very good value. Good location - walking distance from the beach, the supermarket, and the town centre.
Sonia is a brilliant hostess, and went out of her way to make my stay as nice as possible. the hotel is basically brand new and in excellent condition. my room was very comfortable and cleaned to perfection. the big rooftop terrace and shared kitchen were great for relaxation. i was very impressed. ...the room looked out onto the main street, but it had basically no traffic.
We were hiking the Camino with friends. Simple accomidations - private room and private bathroom! The breakfast was wonderful. There was a huge sitting space to the side of the breakfast room, with wonderful local art. The beach was just 2 blocks away. Could walk to restaurants. I would stay here again for the location and the price.
Alfredo was a saint. Four of us were walking, two biking from Porto. The bikers got lost. He waited until they arrived, helped fix bikes. He was not just a great host but truly concerned for our welfare. The accommodations were all anyone could ask for and fairly priced. I recommend highly and without reservation
It is a beautiful house in the middle of Vila Do Conde. Emanuel is a great host, always ready to help. There is a washing machine (the ones walking camino will appreciate:), a nice kitchen with everything you need, a living room and three great rooms. I really enjoyed the stay.
This was our favorite hotel along The Camino! The staff were very friendly, the room was great and the facilities were wonderful! The steam room, sauna and pool were great after a day of walking. We would definitely stay here again!
They were very welcoming and kind. We asked for a table outside during the check-in and they prepared it for us just before the dinner time, it was lovely. I liked the people and the food as much as the hotel
this was our first stop along the Camino from Porto. we got an amazing suite. the room was so beautiful and the property is so pretty! the owners are extremely friendly and breakfast was wonderful!
It was more like a hotel than a hostel. What a beautiful place to stay in. Even prepared breakfast for me to go as a pilgrim. Loved the building, rhe colorful living room. Highly recommend.
This is the perfect piece of heaven in the centre of Vila do Conde. Ideal for those walking the Camino de Santiago, like myself. Emanuel is the perfect host and I would recommend.
