Spectacular location with ocean view. Interesting walk to waterfall from Hotel. A wonderful breakfast was included. Dinner available in the Hotel was also good.
The infinity pool and bar really added a spa feeling to our stay.

The dining room staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast buffet. The location and view from the rooms are beautiful. There are a couple of restaurant options a walking distance away. The underground parking is a plus.

Very nice small town with a nice beach and good restaurants. There are 2 levadas to walk. There is a small shop in town where you can find everything you need. Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special.
Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special. But given the fact that you have rental car you can just discover the whole island. It is highly recommended to visit Calheta, there is a very nice harbour and little boulevard. Must go there is restaurant Manifattura Di Gelato. Another very good restaurant is La Vaca Negra in Funchal; best steaks ever!

Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many pedestrian only, and good restaurants too. We mostly ate at the hotel, but also at a restaurant called Caprice which was fantastic and great value for money. We were delighted to find lots of interesting sculpture around the place which was fascinating, and the people were all very chilled and welcoming. The pavements are mostly cobbled, and of course there are lots of hills so challenging if your mobility is reduced as my parent's was - didn't stop us though - we just took our time and there were regular places to sit and rest along the way.

Its a very good place to base yourself as its very easy to get around the island from there, there are may different walks within a short drive.. It is a very small but quaint place. You get the most amazing sunsets in Ponta do Sol .

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Lidia's place. The view from the balconies is fantastic. Ponta Do Sol has some great restaurants and the the town is very pretty. Communication with the person managing the property was also really good and they were super helpful. The apartment has a secure parking bay so you're not searching for street parking if you rent a car like we did.

Downstairs bedroom might be a bit noisy if the windows were open and the restaurant was noisy, but upstairs no problem. Look closely at your messages for finding the entrance to the unit. The instructions are clear and easy to follow so long as you look (unlike me hahaha), but the host answered the phone and was able to help.

It has a nice terrace with great facilities for barbecue. Everything was very clean and we were welcomed with a awesome gift basket of local goods by which we felt really welcomed. Upon request Carlos provided additional child equipment like kids bed, high chair, towel and even some toys :-). Which was really valuable for us!

The terrace and the garden are a dream, there is plenty of fruit and vegetables here, which I was also allowed to help myself to. The terrace is covered with vines, so you can stay very pleasantly in the partial shade. Catia and Juan are the warmest and friendliest hosts I have ever experienced! And I am already looking forward to coming back!

The host is wonderful, she immediately came to replace our bed sheets which were stained during a small injury that I had and made us feel very welcome. Strongly recommend staying here!

Rooms have exactly the perfect size. The breakfast was probably one of the best we ever had in any hotel around the world. So well done, everyday there would be a special and the ingredients are mostly locally sourced. Highly recommend this hotel.
