History and Sandy Algarve Beaches
With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.

Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming. We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos is a very beautiful small city to visit, lots of attractions are around, which can be covered by max. 3 full days. I recommend the trip with 3 nights in the Lagos is enough, excluding golf, hiking or surfing requires.

My second trip to Logos last one 20 years ago If you are into walking the new boardwalk runs parallel to beach it's great. I think last two weeks in April would be better weather wise. Very well served with fish market and local produce. I always use public transport it was fine. 90 year old ice cream parlour yummy!!!

Lagos is beautiful and food is good value to eat out . The weather was poor when we went unfortunately with a family and there was nothing to do of it rained or was too windy. We searched and asked so many locals if there were indoor activities even an indoor pool that the kids could enjoy but nothing. We had a car so drove a lot to other places for more entertainment. Beautiful place it’s our second visit may return in the future but not in a rush

We were 2 adults travelling with 2 small kids and the flat was really a good size for us, very clean and well furnished (kitchen was well equipped too). The balcony was quite large with a nice view on the swimming pool and space to dry clothes. The location was great too and we enjoyed walking around the Marina after dinner. We had a dinner at the Sunset restaurant next to the hotel and the service was very kind and kids friendly.

This beautiful property, family owned, is located in the middle of Lagos Old town. Wonderful location, we went in an out while sightseeing the whole time. Jorge and Angela are adorable hostesses, making sure you have everything you need at any time. WE LOVED IT!!!

It's in a good location with an Intermarche across the street and a coffee shop, pizza shop, and other shops nearby. A bit of a hike to the marina area, but we ended up renting a car, anyway, because we were needing to go out of Lagos a few times during our stay. Roll down Roman shades make for the best sleep experience, blocking out light almost completely. Street noise was not too noticeable, unless someone had a really loud car.
