I was living at this fantastic home for some years. Now all family we have moved to the country side were we create art and produce wine. All our life is around art, beauty and good feelings. We hope you will enjoy been in "Ninho Salino". The name of our house is inspired in one of the exhibitions we had at the Fundação Dom Luis. Nest is a symbolic act and has inspired much of our art work. We hope you will enjoy the ambiance of the house, its art, its wine, its people and the Cascais Museum Quarter around it, which is one of the most inspiring areas for contemporary art. Do not miss the Paula Rego Museum, the Cidadela Art District and the Fundação Dom Luis. All this places are just five minutes walking from the house.

THE VILLA was build in a 19 century. I belongs to an artist's family. The noble architecture is reflected in the orientation of the house to the four cardinal points. Full of light, noble woods, high ceilings, voluptuous stairs. The small garden overlooks the Passos Vela antique square, were grow "Chorisia especiosa", beautiful and exotic baobabs type tree. Pillows of its soft highly appreciate cotton are available in our house. The property is located in the middle of the Cascais "Museum Quarter", plenty of cultural activity all year round.

Neighborhood info

The villa is in the noble area of Cascais, in the heart of the "Museum Quarter". A beautiful panorama of the antique square of "Doutor Passos Vella" is observed from our garden. In our square grow exotic and rare "ceiba especiosa" trees (our pillows are manufactured with its precious and relaxing cotton). Our square, each September, is one of the sites of the "Lumina festival" of art and light, signaled by "The Guardian", as one of the Top 10 of Europe. FIVE MINUTES WALKING: - Promenade along the Atlantic Ocean. - "Contemporary art Museum of Paula Rego". The Pritkzer price of arquitecture was given to Souto de Moura, who design its impressive building. - "Cidadela Art District". - "Marina", the Cascais yacht port. - "Rainha Beach", circled by cliffs. - "Marechal Carmona Park", with vast lawns, lakes, a wood with large trees. Every Saturday this park receives the "Biological Market of Cascais". TEN MINUTES DRIVING: "Guincho Beach" and "Serra da Sintra Natural Park", stunning for lovers of nature's raw power, surf board, kite board, body board (all of which can be rented at the beach). Close to the house is a bicycle path which, long the Atlantic cost, ends in the Gincho beach.
