SOBRE RIBAS 2|12 is part of an apartment complex, totally renovated, with a total of 6 apartments and a house. It is located in the heart of Coimbra's historical center, in the Unesco protected area. All the units have access to a shared garden or patios, some have direct access some not. You can find us on Facebook and instangram @sobreribas #sobreribas
For almost 20 years we have chosen the historic center to live and work. We are architects and we have a project of design and production of furniture. This space has been renovated and almost completely designed by us. Our architecture studio is located in the nest door, SOBRE RIBAS 10, apartment 10B, so during working hours, you will always find someone to help you.
Located on the hillside, halfway between Alta (Up Town) and Baixa (Down Town) of the city, Rua de Sobre Ribas is in the heart of the historical center, on the UNESCO course, a 6-minute walk from the University of Coimbra and the Mondego River. Here you will find the Sobre Ribas Palace, popularly referred to as the Paço de Sub-Ripas, so named for being built on top of the old medieval wall. Other attractions in the neighbourhood are the Old Cathedral, the Anto Tower and the College of Orphans (College of Sapience), the Quebra-Costas stairs (literally: Broken-Backs!) and the Almedina Arch, among many other monuments. A traditional neighbourhood where you can have everything you need: restaurants, bars, cafes, market, supermarket, etc.
