A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.

Gorgeous spot to visit if you want to stear away from big crowds. Views are breathtaking with a bunch of beaches connected by caves and grottos. There really isn't much else there. A small little village with some eating facilities and a small supermarket. It's a perfect spot for one day and night. The fact that you can park your car wherever you please is also very nice.

Great location for beach goers, with multiple pristine, gorgeous coves in close walking proximity.
Friendly staff; we were upgraded to an ocean front view room and they were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout, last day of our trip so we were able to enjoy the beach before our long flight home.
Breakfast (included) was plentiful and offered many options.
Our trip included stays at 5 hotels, this was the only one that actually had a stocked mini fridge.

Porto Covo is an attractive little town with a small fishing harbour. The Main Street has a lot of very touristy shops. A fair choice of restaurants to eat in but nothing special. It was easy to get to using the very efficient Portuguese bus service and a good place to start walking the Rota Vicentina.

Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant.
Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant. Lovely little local fish and fruit market open in the mornings only. No main supermarket that I could see, only small local ones. But a beautiful beach and cove.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling.
Sweet town, but very touristy feeling. Tour buses dropping people in, and the restaurants felt geared for tourists too. (though check out the pizza place in the main street, excellent).
Great view from the coastline but not a swimmable beach. Really central to some great day trips, but I think there are better towns in the area for a longer stay.
Check out the horseriding nearby, excellent.
Great space, quiet location yet 5 minutes walk to ocean, to market, bus
stop and cafes. Luis was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. His English was very good which helped me! The kitchen had all I needed and I was pleased to have a washing machine (soap provided) and clothesline access. There was plenty of space in bathroom and a nice little table and chairs as well. Wi-Fi worked best of any place I stayed in my two months of travel.. it was
a perfect respite after hiking south to north on Fisherman’s Trail.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. They let me check in early and leave my bags a bit past checkout. I cooked in their kitchen with them and they felt like family! Such a beautiful house and so close to the beach. Their backyard with the pool is so tranquil and lovely. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Staying with them was a highlight on my solo trip to Portugal. Would absolutely recommend as the place to stay in Porto Covo!
What a beautifully situated property! I loved everything about it, and if I ever was to buy a house in Portugal this is exactly what I would aim for. Lots of outdoor space, undisturbed, surrounded by nature, gorgous house! Only 7mins drive from the town and the most beautiful unspoilt beaches of Porto Covo.
Carmen was a pleasure to deal with from the welcome to the check out. Thank you for the lovely stay!
The ocean house has a fantastic location within Porto covo, within walking distance of the small village with plenty of restaurants, as well as incredible beaches close by.
Ocean house is a comfortable stay, that feels connected with the surrounding environment.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, as wel as providing a fantastic breakfast.
Would recommend for anyone visiting Porto Covo.
The property is great; very pleasant and comfortable with a nice courtyard, living space and kitchen. Everything is clean, organized, well-kept. It is centrally located with a market across the street, restaurants and a bakery around the corner. we got a bright welcome from Dina, who offered good tips about Porto Covo and our start of the Fisherman’s Trail.
This place is so charming! The room was clean, modern, and pretty and it felt like an amazing value. Check-in was very easy and the staff was very communicative. It's only a few minutes away from the center of town and the beaches. The breakfast was tasty and bountiful. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Porto Covo!
A wonderful getaway in the midst of nature. We enjoyed two days here and feel as rested as after a two-week holiday. It is a beautiful, private place with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. If you think about coming here, just do it! It’s fair to say that this has been the highlight of our trip all over Portugal.
Big, bright room, a bit empty but very well illuminated. Quiet surroundings. Good breakfast served in a restaurant with bare tables (no clothes) and plastic chairs. Large garage, very easy to drive in. Beautiful beach next to the hotel but be aware that you need to go down a lot of stairs.
This is a stop on our way to Lagos. The village is small but the beach scenery is very nice. It is worthwhile to make a stop here. The location of the hotel is a new development and all the houses look newly built. Our room on the contrary looks very old fashion.
Modern, chilled accommodation with fantastic location. Cannot be better situated, great beaches litterally on your doorstep. Awesome views; and a swimmingpool.
Lots of options for the day!
Awesome breakfast included to start your day.
The beach nearby is beautiful and we had a great view of the ocean from our room. The rooms had a modern and comfortable decor. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The little town is within an easy walking distance.
The location is phenomenal. It has a rooftop bar with 180° coastal view with lighthouse. The bunkbed was comfortable plenty of storage space for luggage and valuables with a lock for each bed. I did not want to leave.
