Our wonderful 2 Villaceixe apartments, your holiday home, are located in the heart of Odeceixe, a cute little village at the west coast of Portugal and part of the Cost Vicentina and only a few minutes away from the stunning beach Praia do Odeceixe.
I am Julia from Hamburg, Germany. I am an actress who also works in a bookstore. My boyfriend and I have been traveling to Portugal for many years, exploring the Algarve and the Alentejo. The more we saw of this beautiful region, the more we realized we would like to spend more time here. First we explored the south coast near Carvoeiro. In recent years, we spent more time on the west coast in the Costa Vicentina region. Here, everything feels quieter and more relaxed. The landscape attracts nature lovers. The dramatic Atlantic Ocean, the wonderful smell of the Cistus Ladanifer (the green flowering plant with sticky leaves and white petals), the beautiful villages with delicious Portuguese food kept us coming back.
This tongue of sand is winningly set at a river mouth and flanked by imposing cliffs. It’s a good family option, as smaller kids can paddle on the peaceful river side of the strand. It’s 3.5km from the endearing whitewashed village of Odeceixe, a hub of budget accommodation. The beach itself has eating, sleeping and surfing options. Villaceixe is at the heart of Odeceixe.
