Ambiente Hostel

Our small home hostel is located in one of the typical Portuguese old apartments. The house, which is located on one of the main streets of Lisbon, was built over a hundred years ago and is just a 20-minute walk from the historic center.

The last inhabitants moved out of apartments at the end of the last century, and since then the apartment was abandoned. In 2015, we gave new life to the apartment.

Large rooms, high ceilings, stucco handmade, cozy and spacious kitchen in a traditional Portuguese style, decorated of the famous Portuguese azulejos tiles, hand-painted - it was carefully restored after years of a devastating downtime.

At the moment, we have a large common room for 8 people and four private rooms, two of the rooms has a balcony with a view of the main street and one room have a cozy veranda with a garden view where you can catch a sun. It offers three private bathrooms, two lounges and a fully equipped kitchen.

Our guests say they feel at home here. After all, this is a real home.

Ambiente Hostel is located in Lisbon's well known Almirante Reis Street, at a 5-minute walk from Arroios and Anjos metro stations. Rossio is an 8-minute metro ride from the property, while Chiado is at a 10-minute ride. The hostel's building dates back to 1900 and the property was fully renovated in 2015. Featuring a lift, it has 4 private rooms and an 8-bed dormitory. Every room is fitted with a shared bathroom. Ambiente Hostel features free WiFi throughout the property. Breakfast is served each morning art the hostel's meal area. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the full kitchen at their disposal, which has free coffee and some snacks throughout the day. Alternatively, Lisbon's historic dowtown has a wide range of popular restaurants, cafés and pastry shops for guests to discover. Avenida da Liberdade is a 20-minute walk from Ambiente Hostel. Alfama, the city's famed Fado district, is 2.3 km away. The iconic São Jorge Castle is 2.5 km away. Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport is 5.4 km km from the property and is accessible via metro.
