Quinta Japonesa

Quinta Japonesa is a renovated old cottage house. It has two apartments for 2-4p. Around the property a Zen garden is created with two lodge tents for 2-6p. Up the hill is a holiday home for 2-8p. There is a playground for children with a trampoline and a tree house.

The name of the quinta is inspired by the relationship between Portugal, the Netherlands and Japan. 60 years before the Dutch and English arrived in Japan, the Portuguese where the first Europeans to reach Japan and trade with Japan. The Netherlands where during 400 years the only to enter Japan for trade purposes.

Set amongst tranquil surroundings, Quinta Japonesa features an outdoor pool and a large Japanese-style garden with a chic seating and lounge area, palm trees and a water fountain. Peniche and Foz do Arelho are within a 40-minute drive away. It offers an apartment, a cottage and a wooden oriental-style safari tent, all with a garden views. Each one has a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette and a separate seating and dining area. The cottage and apartment have a sofa, TV and a private bathroom. An in-room breakfast is available and Quinta Japonesa has BBQ facilities. Guests can dine on regional and national Portuguese cuisine in the several restaurants and bars, within a 15-minute drive away by car.
