TheHOUSE Lisboa

TheHOUSE was built in 1959 by my late grandfather to house his large and ever growing family. Over the next 50 years, it would be at the center of my family's life. It saw weddings, first communions, huge parties and baptisms, as well as all the little everyday events that make up life.

It was almost invaded during the 1974 revolution but that's a story I will tell you over breakfast one day.

Featuring a rooftop terrace with a panoramic view over Lisbon and the Tejo River, TheHOUSE Lisboa is a charming guest house in the Estrela/Lapa district, a 2-minute walk from Basílica da Estrela. It offers free WiFi access. Each room at TheHOUSE has a unique and elegant décor. They all come with a private bathroom with bathrobe and slippers. Some have a balcony with garden views. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served daily in the breakfast room. Guests will find restaurants within walking distance. The Principe Real district is less than 20 minutes’ walking from TheHOUSE, as well as Bairro Alto. Rato Metro Station is a 15-minute walk and offers metro links throughout Lisbon.
