We will drive you to the top of Serra do Pilar to visit the monastery, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage in December 1996 Serra do Pilar Monastery, Gaia’s ex-libris, has preserved its church and cloister, in a circular plan, single copy in Portugal. The church is a replica of the church of Santa Maria Redonda, in Rome, and is covered by a hemispherical dome.
