The Igreja de São Gonçalo in Amarante. The church dates back to 1540 and was formerly a monastery. It is allegedly built on the site of Saint Gonçalo's hermitage and contains the saint't tomb. There are many legends and rites of fertility associated with the saint, some of which were frowned upon by the clergy in the past
