Costa da Caparica beach looking quiet, which is not uncommon, despite its proximity to Lisbon. Located just on the other side of the Tejo river the beach at Costa da Caparica goes on for miles, meaning there's plenty of space for everyone, even in the middle of summer.
The dunes here are home to several bars and cafes and there is even a miniature railway ferrying beachgoers to the far ends of the beach.
