Fonte da Sabuga - Sintra

There are quite a few of these ornate springs around the hillside in Sintra. This particular one is called Fonte da Sabuga and is found on Rua do Marechal Saldanha. It seems there has been a fountain here since the middle ages but the structure that you see today was built in 1757.
What I find mildly surprising is to see them still being used - maybe if you fill enough it's worth the petrol?!
