Zavial Beach - high tide

Zavial beach is located a few kilometres to the east of Sagres. It isn't the easiest spot in the world to find and it can often be an oasis of tranquility. The beach changes quite a lot over the year. Sometimes it can be completely sandy, other times quite rocky. Often there is a large lagoon that is separated from the sea at lower tides making a great spot for kids to play in.

Zavial is also well regarded as a surf spot, with a powerful right hander breaking off the point to the west of the beach.
