The Algarve

The beach and cliffs of the small resort of Carvoeira. Less developed than some of its contemporaries up the coast, the beach can still get pretty busy at the height of Summer

Located on the south westerly tip of Portugal (and Europe) is Cabo Sao Vicente lighthouse. There was a light maintained by monks at this location as early as 1515.

This beach is Praia dos Pescadores, meaning fisherman's beach. As you can still there are still a few boats using it and live catches are still landed here daily.
