Casa da Varanda

Built in accordance with the region’s traditional architecture, the Casa da Varanda is a rustic yet cosy holiday home. Set at an 18-minute drive from Viseu, it has granite walls and modern furnishings. Featuring sofa beds in the living room, this 2-bedroom home includes a flat-screen TV and a an equipped kitchen. It also has a dining area and a furnished balcony. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals in the fully-equipped kitchen at their disposal. Meals can be taken in the dining and living area, or in the furnished balcony. Several local restaurants are available within 4 km of the property, most serving traditional Portuguese meals. The medieval village where the house is inserted was restored from the old houses of Quinta de Villa Meã. Featuring ancient city walls and a famed cathedral, the Viseu historical centre features various landmarks for guests to visit, along with restaurants, cafés and shops. The green areas and mountain range of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park are a 45-minute drive away. The Porto International Airport is an 85-minute drive away from the Casa da Varanda.
