Goncalo Velho is a recently restored 150 year old townhouse in the old quarter of Olhao. The hallway is flooded with light, the ceilings are vaulted, the doors are tall with panelling. The original floor tiles are stunning and all is white and inviting. There is Wifi through out the house. A comfortable sitting room, complete with two sofas a dining table and chairs,TV, DVD and CD player. Wall light, lamps and elegant chandelier. The kitchen has all a cook desires, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher. Two immaculate bedrooms, one with kingsize bed/twin and ensuite. The other is a large double with bathroom next door. Both have underfloor heating and handmade furniture. There is a pretty whitewashed courtyard leading out from the sitting toom with a table and chairs for morning coffee. Plants include, herbs, beautiful bougainvillea and grape vine. A narrow tiled stair leads you to a large roof terrace with pergola, dining for six, BBQ, large oven, shower and sunbeds. A great spot for a drink and dinner, with views across the town rooftops. The promenade is a few minutes walk from the house where you will find excellent coffee shops, bars and wonderful fish restaurants.
