Hub New Lisbon Hostel

Hub New Lisbon Hostel

Our top floor river views are what makes a stay at Hub New Lisbon Hostel especially magical. Imagine looking out and seeing the beautiful 25 April bridge, Cristo Rei and the Tagus River! We are located on Rua do Seculo or “Century” Street, a very famous street in Lisbon. The building was constructed in 1710 and remarkably one of very few that survived the earthquake of 1755. There are a multitude of beautiful blue tiles throughout the 4 story building and the original interior is authentic and well preserved. The street is famous for “The Century” newspaper which was founded in 1881 and one of Portugal’s longest running newspapers, until closing in 1977. Now the street is more famous for eclectic shops and great restaurants where you can eat and shop like a local. The hostel has undergone major upgrades to accommodate all types of contemporary travelers and has great attention to details like premium soft comforters, pillows, sheets and blankets along with lights and 3 power outlets for each bed. Our reception and common areas have been decorated to keep the historical nature of the building in the forefront while providing maximum comfort and amenities for all our guests.

Hub New Lisbon is located in Lisbon, 200 metres from Príncipe Real Garden. The unit is in a renovated 18th century building, with original portuguese tiles and vintage décor pieces. With a large ball pit, the hostel is just a 5-minute walk from lively Bairro Alto’s bars and restaurants. The hostel features accommodation in private double rooms and dormitories. The dormitories are divided into mixed and gender-specific rooms. Most of the accommodation comes with access to shared bathroom facilities. Some of the rooms feature panoramic river views. Breakfast is available daily, from 7:30 to 10:30. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the fully equipped communal kitchen at their disposal. There is also a shared dining area, as well as an on-site bar. A variety of local restaurants is accessible through a 5-minute walk, most serving traditional Portuguese meals. After a day of sightseeing, the interior patio with sofas and showers is the perfect scenario for a relaxing break. The games room includes a foosball table.
