Ponte 25 de Abril

The 1966 25 de Abril bridge over the river Tejo (Tagus) in Lisbon.
The bridge was originally named the 'Salazar Bridge', the dictator who ruled Portugal. However, after the 1974 bloodless 'Carnation Revolution' it was renamed to 25th of April to mark the start of democracy.
The 2.3 km long bridge joins the two bank of the river at Alcântara and Almada. This shot is from Pragal on the southern bank.
